Technic Electric Company History

In 2008 Technic Electric celebrated being established in the PCB industry for an unprecedented 20 years. During these past twenty years we have achieved an excellent reputation for quality of Manufacture, Service and Supply of PCB drill & rout machines, test and PCB manufacturing equipment.

We maintain a wide range of machines and associated equipment from various manufacturers which include Lenz, Schmoll, Pluritec, Excellon, Mania and Klingenberg.  We have our own in-house service, test and repair centre for both the Sieb & Meyer CNC controls and Westwind spindles. Technic Electric is the only UK approved agents for Sieb & Meyer, Westwind Air Bearing Products.

January 1998 saw Technic Electric appointed main agents for the PCB drill & routing machine manufacturer, Lenz Maschinenbau GmbH. This has been a very successful relationship between manufacturer and distributor, with over one hundred drilling machines supplied and installed in the last ten years. Lenz chose Technic Electric because they recognised we matched their commitment and dedication to the PCB industry coupled with our vast technical expertise on all aspects of PCB drilling machines etc... The Lenz machines have a full compliment of features and are available in a complete range, from single spindles up to a six spindle machine. There are dedicated drilling, routing and scoring machines in the Lenz catalogue together with Linear motors, Laser check systems, Broken drill detection, up to 1000 tools per spindle magazines. These machines are of course extremely reliable, as is the Auto-loader system for the complete automation of PCB drill & rout process.

Technic Electric is headed by the ever enthusiastic Managing Director Steve Thomas and employing a dedicated team of engineers and sales staff and office administration. During the last few years the PCB industry in the UK has declined considerably and at Technic have adapted to meet the changing requirements and needs of our customers, with the aim to continue to give unrivalled service and back up for all our machines and products.

One recent addition to the Technic Electric portfolio is the sale of PCB laminate. This division of Technic has its own dedicated website www.copperleaflaminate.co.uk . We have ability to supply cut panels or full sheets along with Bevelling, pinning and stacking to meet customer’s requirements. Take a look in our Stock Room and ask for a competitive quotation. We are also interested in obtaining any surplus laminate from customers' who wish to free up space in their store room and reduce inventory.
